Camp Fortune

Pay to play. Rates are $30 for a season pass or $5 per round. Families are $60 and $10 respectively.

When we (the ODGC) previously had a course at Camp Fortune, we relied on volunteers to maintain it. It was estimated about 300 volunteer hours were put towards the course each year with the majority of those hours done by one person (thanks Eric). The model for this installation is pay-to-play. The majority of the money collected will be going towards paying someone to do the course maintenance, the remainder will go to Camp Fortune (use of the land) and the ODGC (use of the baskets). This will not be the mowed fairways that we once had, the initial plan is just weed whacking to keep the course playable. Camp Fortune cuts the whole hill in September in preparation for the winter ski season.

We are hoping most people will opt for the season pass as this will let us budget the maintenance. The amount of maintenance done will be directly proportional to the money collected.
