Did anyone at the shire the last couple of weeks happen to see a pair of flip-flops (black) in the barn, originally left under the picnic table? They're Allysha's and she'd really like to have them back...

Cheers!

Who's planning on playing in the rain tonight? I'm down to play if I have some friends to join me.

Tornado or not, I am down. Looks like it's clearing up right around 5:26.

First 22 people at the shire at 5:30 get free food. Alex says you’re welcome. His last (partial) shire appearance. Until it’s not.

Thank god it's Wednesday.

Head to the Shire House. Safety First.

Shir-ku:

(quite amazing the amount of internet dedicated to figuring out if 'fire' - and therefore Shire - has 1 or two syllables)

haha, guess I should finish my morning coffee before mixing poetry and math.

To your point, the search that comes up with Fire is interested and topical.

"The word fire can be pronounced with one syllable or two. Shelly asks if fire is one syllable or two because her students are using the word in haiku. Our Pronunciation Editor Josh Guenter responds: The word fire can be pronounced with either one or two syllables."
