Also BBP there is a google doc on ODSA with the schedule of events planned so far.

Hope this link works. It's getting updated as events are confirmed.

Events in central and southern Ontario sell out in minutes, if not immediately, on-line.

Wow. Cool. Didn't see that before. Thanks, John.

That's an extensive list. A lot of golf available southwest of us.

Cool to see that almost all "Ottawa" events are confirmed.

No worries. It's a great list to track. Especially to know when those Ontario Cup Tour Events are accepting registration as they are selling out instantly.

Hoping to bring one to Ottawa again. Just need Oz to get back from the memorial and do his thing. Worst case we will hopefully see something in Peterborough at least or hopefully both locations and get some more Eastern Ontario event momentum.

Just went back and looked for Peterborough; they still have the Rivermede, but it's curious that the new course isn't on there for anything. A lot of work was done there for disc golfers not to be back. Probably to early to expect something from a new course. (Owner is probably pretty dependent on regional disc golfers to set things up for course events)

Lots of disc golf in southern Ontario during the month of August. You are the only one within 300 km. Up against https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/Can_Am_Cup_Team_Matchplay_Championship_20th_Edition_2018

If there is a second event at Ettyville it more than likely will not be August 25,26 this year. Conflicts with the Riceville fair and all the neighbourhood volunteers. I'm considering going back to the August long weekend. Provincials apparently won't be that weekend and they are looking at a permanent fall date again. Something most people support.

Karl Forbes has hinted at something in Peterborough. This may be what is jamming up my confirmation. I could see a push for a long weekend A tier there but they are lots of work...

I've been advocating that the ODSA regions need to work their own schedules out and be the sole path to Ontario championships. Ie. You qualify out of your region attending a reasonable number of events. For now that would probably look like a decent A/B tier in Peterborough and Ottawa.

I don't think we are there yet this year but if you dig around the ODSA you can see language wanting to head this direction.

Golfers can't even get into their local events to try and qualify these days.

Some discussion of a split tour that you qualify for but I don't see that working.

Some of what I know for what it's worth.

The Legend is sold out and it's 10 days away. Probably sold out awhile back. Finally convinced myself to drive the 2.5 hours the morning of. Guess I'm sleeping in.

Registration is open for the Gross Cup.

22/72 so far

And all these events are using DiscGolfScene for registration and payments. An extra $3.82. And the Legend sold out weeks before the date. That must be the magic threshold.

These events are selling out fast even with the added $3.88 to the cost of the event (+$10 if you aren't a member of the PDGA, but we're OK that membership has privileges).

No, it's not a requirement that anyone be a registered member on DG Scene to sign up through DG Scene, although the site does offer some nice features, and is a free registration.
