the prob with that is people could be dq'd for nothing of their own fault.
example:
me and you are in the final, but were playing it late because both our opponents that we beat in a prev round took for ever to get our matches set up. we were both ready to play but had to wait on our opponents pushing an available time for the 2 of us back. people are getting busier in the club, not less busy. things will only get worse.

the last 4 years i believe has had the league finish apres LNF

Yeah,
the reality here penton is a couple hours before i got you initial pm and responded i had just found out my uncle had died which was a bit of a shocker-not the good shocker wink . i was a touch distracted, and trying to watch 2 kids also did not help much. i was also working on a frozen sump line which was a little icing on the cake. This sounds retarded, but i have alluded to it on FB, you or someone else can look it up, if you want.

I took a little thought, and I would happily run the PC points if its cool.

Also re: Peli,

this is something i have thought about for a while, instead of sending our best and having end up like a basketball game vs the Washington generals, that we should send newer developing players or vets who have alot of potential. a player like wierdsma comes to mind, or players who are just outside that top tier of players in our club and use the pelican as a tool to drive those players to become the best they could be.
Peli is awesome and all, but blowing a weaker team out of the water each year really has no honor at the end of the day. The goal here is to bring these players skills up over the year, just a thought. I'd rather see players here becoming stronger better players then the alternative.
But.....that being said, this idea just might be a little too late , as MTL seemed to be a bit over the hump and are starting to bring it.

going down the list for HC's for example im looking at players who's Handi's are 5.5 or so to about 8.5 or so, but as i said before this might be too late

I just wanted to make an announcement that I will be taking over the PC Series for the time being.

The following will be implemented:

bbp wrote:
This would be the President Cup Series 2014 for the 2015 Pelican team.

- The captain (winner of the PC race)
- Spot #2 (2nd place PC)
- Spot #3 (3rd place PC)
- Spot #4 (winner of the BS race)
- And the rest is chosen by the Cap/Co-Cap (Co-captain chosen by the captain)

(If the 2nd place and 3rd place can't make the date, the spot doesn't go to
the 4th or 5th, the spots become Captain picks. Same for BS Champ.)

This would make the selection process a bit more transparent and allow
for ODGC players to set some goals for the season.

Everything else remains status quo and I will be in contact with Rolly on
finding a way to finish the OMPL season before LNF begins.
(No promises though, as this is no small task)

Looking forward to another exciting PC race for 2014. thumbsup

How will the PC race be affected with no updated handicaps?

Without the math behind TOSS there are no slopes or scratches, therefore the TOSS Overall is not looking so hot.

The BS points is/has been done since the beginning.

And there hasn't been a QB standings the entire season, so that is a tough one to calculate, but has nothing to do with the HC.

I think the 2014 PC race will be a wash as the TOSS standings can't be calculated without our HCs.

I am curious how the race looked sans TOSS so I'll see if I can get that done sometime soon.
