I wonder if the PDGA is now going to change the rules re: the weed on events at private courses.

do they mention cigarettes specifically, or smoking in general?

Definitely at the midway lunch things are different

Nothing will change. If you want PDGA sanctioning, you have to follow PDGA standards. Alcohol is already prohibited during rounds.

I don't think private courses will make a difference; private or public the PDGA rules and competition manual still applies.

It is interesting to consider how things might change during lunch breaks. I (and I didn't do a thorough search) could find anything that might apply outside of major events.

I suspect that if the PDGA addresses this at all (and they may not want to), it will fall under their existing smoking policy. (So as Thumber says, no change)

""The possession of illegal substances in violation of Federal, State or Local laws. The use of marijuana is not permitted at PDGA events, regardless of the possession of a medical marijuana card.""

ahhh, they do now call it by name now. (Finally had time to look).

It is kind of sad though if your prescribed the med's you cant use them, but one could take a stronger prescribed drug with no violation,

i think the pdga needs to get with the times more. the rules are soooo 2005, and still has holes.
There are other types of ways to injest THC like oil, "Wax", hippie crack (THC Crystals), I dont think Hash is legal there (yet).
Get with the times PDGA, or else you'll be left in a cloud of smoke, hahahah
