From PDGA.com;

Quote:
The A. P. Spiderweb 3 target was approved early in May at the Standard level partly because the basket gaps did not meet the new smaller standards for Championship baskets. The all new A. P. Spiderweb 3 just approved has the new and improved basket with two more horizontal wires to reject all but the most extreme attempts at wedging a disc. Take a look at the side-by-side comparison on the Tech Standards page: Tech Standards Even the new Vibram Trak also just PDGA Approved might find it tough to wedge in this basket.

The new A. P. Spiderweb 3 - Championship

If you take a closer look at it you'll notice it has 3 sets of chains.

Put a yellow Innova band on it and it's the ultimate dg basket.

Would have it been better to have the 3 sets offset from each other? Or does it matter?

Not sure but I think different offsets would give different results just not very significant ones.

This basket is a relic before it was ever made available for sale:

New rules prevent wedge shots from counting, so what sets it apart from the rest of the pole hole market is... nothing, really. You won't need to see the basket for "through the holes" vibram putter shot but aren't you always going to be able to see the basket when someone is throwing a vibram putter?

The waist on the chains is super small, which is thumbs down material IMHO, and this isn't the only basket with three rows of chains. The discraft discatcher remains my favorite for having everything that this basket has, including three rows of chains, and a better entrapment cross section.

Vibram has a driver mold as well...

I find it ironic that the rules make a big deal about how the disc goes into the basket, but they could give a sh!t about how it comes out.

Where vibram rubber can pass through a basket, it's just as able to squeeze out as it is to squeeze in, except, we're supposed to make sure it enters the right way. If it squeeks through after entering properly, it doesn't count, so why the double standard? In is in; who cares how it got there? Out is not in.
