Ottawa Disc Golf Club

Camp Fortune

Camp Fortune is open for the season!

Camp Fortune Disc Golf Logo

The course begins behind the playpit building, uphill from the main lodge. If it's your first time playing the course, be sure to print a map and bring it with you.

Each basket has a number and a diagram pointing you to the next hole. How it works: position yourself between the basket and the tee that you just shot from. Turn the number sign so that you are looking at the diagram and follow the arrow towards the next tee.

Notes

Located just 20 minutes north of Jacques Cartier Park, Camp Fortune is the ODGC's longest and most demanding course. Offering a healthy mix of technical tunnel shots, challenging uphill holes and monster downhill drives, disc golfers are treated to picturesque holes and beautiful views of Gatineau Park. It's no walk in the park so proper footwear and water are recommended.

Directions

last modified: May 11, 2005

Follow the google directions all the way to Highway 5. Then ignore the rest.

(You should start seeing small blue signs directing you to the resort right before exit 12)

From Highway 5 north, exit 12, turn left on to chemin Old Chelsea. You'll stay on that road for roughly 6 kms. While on that road you will drive through the village of old chelsea followed by two intersections. You will also pass the "Skyline" side of Fortune. Keep going, you're about 3 kms away.

Once you have passed Skyline, look for the next intersection and turn left. You will hit a Y in the road 300m up the hill, stay left. Follow the road to the top.

If you have a course map, find the deck of the lodge. From there, the lay of the land should quickly make sense.
